Ten Days Until Hound Hunt Begins in Wisconsin

On November 20th, a delegation from Great Lakes Wolf Patrol met with Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) officials to discuss the state’s upcoming hound hunt for wolves which begins December 1st.

The meeting with DNR Chief Warden, Todd Schaller, Dave Zebro, (the warden from Zone 2 where WP operated in October) and other enforcement officers began with an update to the investigation launched into a documented wolf trapping violation WP meetingobtained in October. The DNR assured us that they took the complaint very seriously, and sent a warden out to talk to the trapper in question. The trapper acknowledged that he illegally left his wolf trap in the ground after the season had officially closed on October 19th and was given a verbal warning.

boop boop be doo..holidays are near.i love them.try not to get depressed cause i cannot afford stuff for my teenage son .and/or older kids..all the wonderful hype in advertisements make me wanna scream out.some people just dont have the money.sure id love to have a beautiful colorful holiday with all the trimings with neighbors.friends.family.n my best friends my pets.my animals.but alas il be here alone somewhat.in the quietness i deserve i guess.dont get me wrong i love holidays and them all quiet like now.but in passed i could afford things for my kids n family.now its very seldom.its hard to explain sorry kid i can only pay bills.mortgage.ect…i hate that.without juggling all that we would be in a box on state street.were warm.we have beds.socks.clothes.furry warm animal freinds.and we have electricity.water.a place to lay our heads..but others dont even have that.were blessed for the moment.which i know one moment can change your life forever.sure i aploigize to my kids n grandkis.im broke.im broke im broke.we just get buy.we go to pantries.ive joined many online sites to get free cat food.free gift cards.and scope the deals in grocery stores use there store cards.i am happy with my life.i never ask for anything.and i get nothing.but just knowing we are safe and warm.is a blessing.we know that.its hard to be humble n stay that way.advertizments on tv makes one feel helpless.like a nobody.but i try to remeber all there birthdays.not much but i send a lil something if i can..they understand kindof sortof.but i do what i can and we stay just afloat.i know many people are doing the same.so i hope you know you are not alone.we all need to know were loved.wanted.and safe.sometimes just a smile.kind word.or sharing something.is a good thing.the kindness of a stranger i always say..happy holidays.i wish u all a safe warm holiday spirit.and holidays..may we all be merry with what were just able to do.and be happy with loved ones.peace be with you all.

Wild horse populations vary between 32,000 and 50,000 while livestock grazing allocations accommodate numbers in the millions. Yes, in the millions.

The Horse WhispererHorses and I have had a shared existence, personal and professional, for as long as I can remember. And while I carry a strong passion for all horses, my tenacious support for the preservation of habitat for wildlife and the American mustangs derives from their symbolic representation of our national heritage and freedom.

Any infringement on their legally protected right to live freely is an assault on America’s principles. The varied and subjective interpretation of laws intended to protect these animals on our public lands, continues to leave wild horses under attack.
